Roshele Allison

With years of experience in design and construction, Roshele Allison has gained valuable skills and created her own network of trustworthy contractors and industry professionals. While her knowledge and reliable team are utilized each day in her business, Roshele has taken it one step further, offering her expertise as a way to give back to the community.

For several years, Roshele has volunteered countless hours for Rebuilding Together Seattle (RTS). RTS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides free home repairs to low income homeowners (particularly those who are elderly, disabled, or families with children), so they can live in warmth, safety, and independence.

RTS’s major program event is Spring Rebuilding Day, held on the last Saturday of April. RTS partners with over 1,000 volunteers to complete roughly 20 projects throughout the greater Seattle area in one day. For over two years, Roshele has served as Project Manager for the Junior League of Seattle Sponsor group, executing all work scope plans for the Junior League’s project. From sourcing donated materials, equipment, labor and carpenters to organizing 80+ volunteers, it’s a huge job that commences in one beautiful day of organized chaos.

Roshele also volunteers her time with the National Kitchen and Bath Puget Sound Chapter. She has served on the board in several positions, most recently President and continuing to serve as Chapter Rep.

The March 2016 winning design is a west Seattle contemporary kitchen design. This West Seattle family of three, in addition to their Bernese Mountain dog Jack, needed a kitchen that had something for everyone.

This multi-tasking kitchen allows the cook their own space with counterspace on either side of the professional Viking gas range. On one side of the range is a a pull out knife drawer and to the other side is a 3 drawer cabinet that houses all of their necessary sauté pans and pots. When baking the client wanted storage for their cooking sheets which sits about the oven and built in microwave.

The prep cook has use of the island with prep sink and wine refrigerator to allow the guests to sit at the raised granite counter. This configurations allows guest to engage in conversation with those working in the open kitchen. The prep cook and guests also have easy access to the undercounter refrigeration without interrupting the cooking process.

When it is time for clean up the deep single bowl sink, Viking dishwasher and pull out recycle/trash bin makes it an easy process. Even the dog has his spot for his food/water in an open floor area at the base of the family’s task area which holds keys, notebooks, needed grocery lists in addition to a chalk board on the side allowing for quick notes and displaying their son’s colorful art.

For those who enjoy coffee, we created an area for all of their coffee needs which is also flanked by two 24" deep pantries with easy access pull out shelves storing all of the food and snacks.

This contemporary kitchen sways to the warm side of colors with its Espresso stained cherry cabinets, glass backsplash in soft earth tones, creamy quartz counters, hardwood Sucupira flooring and a granite counter pulling all of these elements into an angular accent.
