Privacy Policy.  By visiting and/or using this site, you consent to this Privacy Policy and to Viking’s collection and sharing of your personally identifiable information according to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Collection of Personally Identifiable Information.   Viking may collect your name,  initials, home address, other physical address, street name, city, state, zip code, e-mail address, telephone number, social security number, credit or debit card number, account number, bank account number, other identifiers that permit the physical or online contacting of a consumer, information concerning your use of this site, and information concerning your purchase or use of Viking products or services such as, but not limited to, home server domain names, type of computer, type of web browser, kind of product or service purchased, product model number, product serial number, information regarding which specific web pages you visit, information linking you to searches performed, information provided over the telephone, information provided in product registration card submissions, information provided to distributors or dealers of Viking products and services, information provided at or to Viking Culinary Arts Centers, information provided to Viking subsidiaries or divisions (including but not limited to the Alluvian Hotel), information provided in connection with sweepstakes or contests, information provided in response to advertisements, information provided in connection with warranty service claims, information provided at trade shows, information provided in response to surveys, information provided in connection with direct sales to consumers, and other personally identifiable information in these categories.

Cookies.  Viking may place “cookies” or equivalent mechanisms on your hard drive.  Mechanisms such as cookies store data about individual users, including but not limited to the user’s name, password, user-name, screen preferences, the pages of a site viewed by the user and the advertisements viewed by the user.  When the user revisits the site, Viking may recognize the user by the cookie and customize the user’s experience accordingly.  Users may attempt to decline cookies by using the appropriate feature of their software, if available.  However, declining the use of cookies may impede the ability of the site to function.

Security Measures.  Viking may implement security features to endeavor to prevent the unauthorized disclosure of, or access to, personally identifiable information.  The level of security and encryption standards is consistent with industry standards and practices.  However, Viking cannot guarantee the confidentiality of any communication or information transmitted to or from Viking via the site, e-mail, or otherwise.  Viking is not responsible for the security of information provided to Viking.

Rights Regarding Disclosure to Direct Marketers.  If you are a California resident and an individual with an established business relationship with Viking primarily for personal, family, or household purposes, you have the right to request from Viking at the postal address or e-mail address in the preceding paragraph, and to receive in writing or by e-mail, a list of the categories of personal information disclosed by Viking to third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the preceding calendar year and the names and addresses of the third parties that received such personal information from Viking (and, if the nature of the third parties’ business cannot reasonably be determined from the third parties’ name, examples of the products or services marketed, if known to Viking, sufficient to give you a reasonable indication of the nature of the third parties’ business).  The response to a request received at one of the designated addresses shall be provided within 30 days.  Requests received by Viking at other than one of the designated addresses shall be provided within a reasonable period not to exceed 150 days from the date received.

Review and Correction of Personally Identifiable Information.   Upon request via postal mail or e-mail to an address in the above paragraph, consumers may review or gain access to the personally identifiable information retained by Viking regarding the consumer and may request changes to or challenge the accuracy or completeness of the information, which will be amended as appropriate.
