Dishwashers - VDB/FDB/RDDB
What benefit does the variable speed motor provide? The variable speed motor is the heart of the Vari-Pressure Intelli-Wash System which adjusts water volumes and water pressure to the cycle/option selected. The Pots and Pans cycle uses a higher pressure wash than a Normal cycle, and the Light/China cycle uses a lower pressure wash. Click here to view the Optimal Performance Guide.
Do I need to rinse my dishes before loading the dishwasher? The Viking dishwasher is the Scrubbing Powerâ„¢ leader in dishwashers, so no pre-rinsing is required. Simply scrape your dishes, load the dishwasher, and select the cycle based on the soil level of your dishes.
Are Viking dishwashers quiet? All models are engineered top to bottom for the quietest operation possible. In fact, we added a blue LED light in the kickplate (on some models) that illuminates to let you know the dishwasher is operating.
Are Viking dishwashers Energy Star qualified? All models are Energy Star qualified.
Disposer - VCFW
Does Viking have a batch feed disposer? Both Viking models of disposers are Continuous Feed. A Batch Feed Accessory Kit is available converts continuous feed disposer into magnetically activated batch feed unit.
Can the disposers be used with a septic tank? The exclusive grind system on Viking disposers creates 1,417,500 uppercuttings and 1,260,000 undercuttings per minute making them highly effective for use with septic tanks.
What prevents the disposer from jamming? Viking disposers have an automatic reverse feature in which the grind wheel moves in an opposite direction with each start and breaks the jams that stop ordinary disposers.
Can the disposer be installed without a wall switch? If a wall switch is not available, Viking offers a counter/sink switch kit which easily mounts to sink or countertop and is perfect for island installations.
