Many countries enjoy a thriving steakhouse tradition. In France, homey bistro-style dishes are paired with lovely French wines in a warm, cozy atmosphere. In this workshop, hanger steak, a very beefy, very juicy, tender cut of meat is served with crispy fries for the ultimate European-style steakhouse experience. And the piece de resistance - a gorgeous chocolate souffle served hot out of the oven with creamy custard sauce. Tres, tres bon!
SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES Making a traditional bistro meal; grilling hanger steak and testing for doneness; making a classical French sauce; making a vinaigrette; poaching eggs; mastering the art and science behind the perfect souffle.
Adult classes are designed for students 16 years of age or older. (Note: Students must be 21 years of age to consume alcohol.) Wine is available for purchase at Ninety Acres classes. Unless specified as a food and wine pairing, wine is not included in classes at Natirar.
