Dim Sum Party
Originally a Cantonese custom, dim sum literally means ?to touch your heart.? Dim sum consists of small, highly flavorful dishes which are often steamed, but sometimes fried or braised. Learn the various rolling and folding methods that make these wildly popular dishes both visually stunning and intensely tasty. At the end of class, we?ll pour ourselves a cup of tea and make an appetizing meal out of these incredible Chinese snacks.
SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES Cooking with traditional Chinese ingredients; shaping, stuffing and steaming buns; learning various folding techniques for dumplings; making custard for tarts.
Adult classes are designed for students 16 years of age or older. (Note: Students must be 21 years of age to consume alcohol.) Alcohol is not served at our Anchorage location.
