Open up a whole new world to your child as they travel the globe through food. Our five-day, hands-on cooking camp teaches kids kitchen safety, the craft of cooking, and the joy of eating fresh, home-cooked foods. Day 5 culminates with students preparing a barbecue buffet for invited guests.
DAY 1 – England: Cheddar Bacon Dip with Toasts; Fish and Chips; Sugar Peas; Strawberry Fool
DAY 2 – Italy: Pasta with Hand-Rolled Meatballs and Easy Tomato Sauce; Italian Green Beans; Parmesan Garlic Bread; Chocolate Biscotti Pie with Caramel Sauce
DAY 3 – China: Egg Drop Soup; Vegetable Egg Rolls; Chinese-Style Roasted Chicken; Easy Fried Rice
DAY 4 – Mexico: Easy Chicken and Cheese Enchiladas; Mexican Rice; Chocolate Chip Mexican Wedding Cakes; Sample Recipe: Lime Water (Agua de Limón)
DAY 5 – USA: Barbecue Chicken; Cola BBQ Sauce; Roasted Corn on the Cob with Garlic Butter; Cheddar Biscuits; Apple Turnovers
For Kids Camp, all students receive a recipe booklet and a certificate of completion.
SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES learned in our Kids Camp include kitchen safety and sanitation; developing creativity through cooking; applying math and science skills to cooking; working as a team; measuring, whisking, mixing; and learning age-appropriate cooking skills.
