Cookie Workshop

Voted "the most popular homemade food gift," cookies are the number one dessert eaten in America. Not surprising when you think about how simple they are to make - not to mention the intoxicating aroma of freshly-baked cookies. Nothing could be more comforting! But have you ever wished that your cookies were just a bit crunchier? Softer? Chewier? Do your cookies tend to spread - or become far too brown? Learn how to produce perfect cookies every time as you make and bake an assortment of cookies in a variety of flavors. Students leave with five types of freshly baked cookies to share with family and friends.

SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES Making different styles of cookies; using a cookie press; making various kinds of cookie dough; rolling out and cutting cookie dough; baking cookies and testing for doneness; learning how to prevent various cookie faults.



Adult classes are designed for students 16 years of age or older.
