Kids Camp - Hot Cooking Trends

If your kid, teen or tween always likes to know what’s hot and what’s not, we’ve created the ultimate cooking camp just for them. Small plates from around the world, the caliente cuisine of Latin American and the invasion of all foods Asian top the list of hottest culinary concepts. Students also learn how food can actually affect your mood and how they can be better stewards of our planet simply by making educated ingredient choices. (Although the menus for both Kids and Teens are identical, each camp is individually designed to teach age-appropriate cooking skills in a suitable time frame.)

DAY 1 – Mood Foods: Smart Bars; Trifecta Turkey Burgers; Polenta “Fries” with Tomato Sauce; Chocolate-Covered Banana Pops.
DAY 2 – Small Plates Party: Albóndigas (Spanish Meatballs); Tiropitas (Crispy Phyllo Triangles with Feta); Grilled Turkish Chicken Kebabs; Lemon Shrimp Bruschetta.
DAY 3 – Latin Sizzle: Tortilla Soup; Skirt Steak with Chimichurri Sauce; Patatas Bravas (Brave Potatoes); Sample Recipe: Dulce de Leche Ice Cream; Bonus Recipes: Fish Tacos with Fresh Fruit Salsa
DAY 4 – Asian Invasion: Asian Sesame Noodles with Chicken and Broccoli; Spring Rolls with Sweet-and-Sour Dipping Sauce; Korean Barbecue (Bulgogi)in Lettuce Cups; Roasted Edamame with Lemon and Sea Salt.
DAY 5 – Go Green!: Oven-Roasted Garden Vegetable Pasta with Fresh Parmesan; Super Salad with Fresh Fruit, Nuts and Honey Lime Vinaigrette; Mixed Berry Muffins. Sample Recipe: Lemon Sorbet with Dark Chocolate Squares.


Adult classes are designed for students 16 years of age or older. (Note: Students must be 21 years of age to consume alcohol.)
