Want to share your passion for food with that special someone? Well, get ready to dazzle your date with one of the world's most romantic dishes - classical Chateaubriand. Just enough for two, perfectly roasted beef tenderloin is served with succulent shrimp and rich, buttery Béarnaise. For a sweet ending to our scrumptious soiree, we'll prepare a creamy dreamy chocolate crème brûlée with a crackly caramel crust.
SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES Candying nuts; making a vinaigrette; preparing gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches; grilling shrimp and testing for doneness; searing and roasting beef tenderloin; testing beef for doneness; resting and carving beef; making a classical emulsion sauce; preparing a decadent vegetable dish that will become a family favorite; making the ultimate chocolate dessert; caramelizing sugar with a blow torch.
Adult classes are designed for students 16 years of age or older. (Note: Students must be 21 years of age to consume alcohol.) Alcohol is not served at our Anchorage location.
