Viking Range, LLC, the leader in premium residential kitchen technology, has named Lisa Woodward as the June Designer of Distinction. Mrs. Woodward is owner and a Kitchen and Bath Designer at Woodward Kitchen and Bath based in Santa Clarita, California and is the sixth monthly winner in the 2015 Viking Kitchen Design Competition. Designers from around the United States are vying for the coveted honor to become the 2015 Viking Designer of the Year to be awarded in November.

Ms. Woodward with over 25 years in the kitchen and bath industry serves as head designer, she also serves on the board of the local NKBA Chapter. Locally owned and operated since 1988, Woodward Kitchen & Bath's goal is to bring clients exceptional service while providing quality products. Their family business started in a small 900 sq. ft. shop area and now has grown to a current location of 1500 sq. ft. showroom area and large shop for custom work. Owners John, Lisa and Guy Woodward have designed projects from modern and contemporary to classic traditional spaces.

The June winning kitchen design is at the home of Frank and Kelly Uchalik. The Uchaliks worked with Lisa to take their traditional style "builder grade" kitchen to another level.

Frank and Kelly chose Viking appliances as the foundation for their new kitchen which included a 48" range, 48" hood, 48" built-in refrigerator, built-in microwave and dishwasher.

The previous old stained cabinetry was replaced with new bright white and jet black cabinetry in a more transitional look. In addition to the Viking Professional Appliances, Caesarstone® Frosty Carrina.countertops were used to complete the kitchen.

“The new design allows for a more open feel to the adjacent rooms and incorporates a second island for a family dining area,” said Lisa Woodward. “We wanted a family friendly kitchen so a built in entertainment cabinet with separate charging stations for each member of the family was included.” Viking appliances were chosen for their professional appearance as well as their superior performance. And in the words of homeowner Kelly, “Because they are the best!”.

Each month prizes and recognitions are awarded to the winning designer in the 2015 Viking Kitchen Design Competition. The monthly winner receives the designation of Designer of Distinction and is featured on vikingrange.com and social media channels. The monthly winner also receives a Viking Professional 10 piece cookware set valued at over $1,600.

The grand prize winner named as the 2015 Viking Kitchen Designer of the Year will be featured in a 2016 Architectural Digest ad and will receive a Viking Professional Range valued up to $10,299. Entries by design professionals for the Viking Kitchen Design Competition are being accepted through October 31, 2015.
