Viking Sponsors "Taste Of The World" Stage at New York Times Travel Show


Our Taste Of The World stage was a big hit this year, featuring not only New York Times Food Editor Sam Sifton and former Times restaurant reviewer, Mimi Sheraton, but also NBC / Travel Channel host Adam Richman.  We also brought to our stage one of the biggest culinary travel stories of the year -- Expo Milano 2015, a world's fair with a food theme.  Expo Milano --- and USA Pavilion representing our country there --- brought leading New York area Italian food figure to the stage for a taste of this destination.  The James Beard Foundation's Mitchell Davis, Chief Creative Officer for the USA Pavilion, welcomed Chef Cesare Casella of Salumeria Rosi, Chef Mark Ladner of Del Posto, Chef Jim Lahey of Sullivan Street Bakery, and Chef Sarah Jenkins of Porchetta, and the travel show's opening reception for the industry was hosted on our Taste Of The World stage, with Chef Ugo Alciati making and serving risotto live in our Viking kitchen.
