FOOD AND BEVERAGE DIRECTOR - Greenwood, MS

GENERAL PURPOSE:
To manage all operations of Giardina’s Restaurant and The Alluvian Hotel Food and Beverage Program

MAIN DUTIES:

• Oversees and manages all restaurant operations

GENERAL PURPOSE:

To insure the guest rooms and all public areas are cleaned and maintained to Alluvian standards.

Main Duties:

· Maintain and clean assigned guest rooms each day in a timely manner. This includes stocking the rooms with proper linen, amenities and printed material.

· Report any broken or non-working items to Director of Housekeeping and maintenance departments before completing rooms.

· Work together with other housekeepers when needed to finish job assignments.

PLATFORM DESIGN ENGINEER - Greenwood, MS

Position Description:
The Platform Design Engineer works as part of a platform product improvement/inception team, focusing on product development by using engineering principles to increase the efficiency and value of the business, while utilizing cost effective mechanisms and improving overall product performance, reliability and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules including program plans that identify work scope, schedules, milestones, tasks, priorities, risks.
  • Manage program/project issues and risks by effectively working with departments to develop parallel paths, contingencies, and risk mitigation plans to meet project deliverables per budget and schedule.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with overall project scope and schedules.
  • Attend and actively participate in project team meeting to ensure overall project alignment.
  • Effectively communicate program/project status to all stakeholders including project team members, resource owners, suppliers, and customer groups.
  • Escalate issues and risks as appropriate to ensure program/project success.

PROJECT MANAGER - Greenwood, MS

Position Overview:
Reporting to the VP of Engineering, the Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating projects according to predetermined timelines and budgets.  Building and managing project teams, reporting to the Project Sponsor, and ensuring quality control throughout project life cycles are central to this position.

Responsibilities:
• Manage project development from initiation to closure.
• Be accountable for project results along with project sponsor.
• Work with project sponsor and stakeholders to complete project charter outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing.
• Complete work breakdown structure to estimate effort required for each task.
• Provide a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed.
• Clearly communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders.
• Act as a mediator between stakeholders and team members.
• Resolve any issues and solve problems throughout project life cycle.
• Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved with project change request forms.
• Determine if external consultants or contractors will be required to complete project plan.  If required, recruit and manage appropriate staffing resources.
• Track and report on project milestones and provide status reports to sponsor.
• Lead, coach, and motivate project team members on a proactive basis.

SEALED SYSTEMS ENGINEER - Greenwood, MS

The sealed system engineer is a recognized subject matter expert in his/her domain and responsible for the coordination of design and development of sealed refrigeration systems. Viking Range, LLC is a manufacture of high end domestic and international refrigerators, consisting of All refrigerators, all freezers, Side by Side and Bottom Mount Freezers.

 

Essential Job Results:

• Responsible for the design, development and qualification of refrigeration system components and/or sub-assemblies related to the sealed system.  Some component parts include: compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion device and fans, etc.

• Define Interface Control Documents (ICD) and work with System Integration Engineers to assure the performance, safety, quality and the reliability requirement of the product.

• Assist with DOE regulation changes, develop a project plan and introduce design alterations to improve the energy efficiency of the product.

• Work with AHAM and EPA on the new regulations / industry standard requirements and introduce an engineering change product plan to the management.

• Integrate refrigeration system components based on the theoretical analysis of the system.  Build a design model based on the theoretical analysis

• Coordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problems. Interface with vendors and other departments on product compliance.

• Coordinate engineering activities with other departments including change plans, engineering changes, performance/agency testing and trial runs,

• Contribute to a cross-functional team as required to support the development of future projects.

• Develop and initiate new product features and system performance.

• Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing components.

• Initiate and develop ideas that result in system performance improvements.

• Support the transfer of knowledge to product care and manufacturing.

 

Skills required:

• Expert on heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamic analysis of vapor compression refrigeration cycles.

• Experience in the modeling/simulation and development of AC or refrigeration systems and components

• Ability to design the engineering predictive models before sampling

• Ability to design efficient airflow systems.

• Knowledge of various manufacturing and quality processes related to refrigeration systems.

• FMEA experience

• Design of Experiments knowledge would be helpful

• International appliance product knowledge would be helpful

• Strong interpersonal, customer-focused, and leadership skills

Education:

• BSME with 10+ years or MSME with 8+ years of experience or Phd (thermodynamic or related) with 5+ years of experience

• Knowledge of 3D Parametric CAD is preferred

• Knowledge in CFD and FEA would be an advantage.

WELDER - Greenwood, MS

Position Description: This position is responsible for welding parts by setting up and operating welding equipment proficiently.

Responsibilities:
• Sets up and operates welding equipment properly; proficient in assigned welding techniques
• Sets up and prepares appropriate materials and parts for welding
• Possesses knowledge of wire and filler material types, sizes, and gauges; and applies knowledge to appropriate types, sizes, and gauges of metal
• Observes welding process to detect work piece defects and/or machine malfunctions
• Performs daily TPM on machines and equipment
• Measures work piece dimensions using precision measurement equipment to ensure consistent achievement of quality standards
• Uses manual and power tools to grind and/or finish metal; and corrects defects using such tools
