Vishwesh Bhatt has been crowned the Best Chef in the South at the 2019 James Beard Foundation Awards. Bhatt is a five-time nominee because of his work at Snackbar, a Southern-French brasserie hybrid. The Indian chef has worked in Oxford for 20 years and considers it his home. Viking is very proud of Bhatt as he was the only Mississipian in the running for this award.
