Bon Appetit Chef de Cuisine

Jonathan Lindenauer, Bon Appétit’s chef de cuisine, has enjoyed a lifelong fascination with food and has spent the last 10 years sharpening his skills with some of the country’s top culinary masters.

Jonathan graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.A. in economics and finance. He worked successfully in the financial sector for several years before enrolling in the Culinary Institute of America. Jonathan completed a CIA externship with Certified Master Chef Hartmut Handke and graduated in the top two percent of his class. Since then, he has worked alongside Christian Delouvrier at Les Célébrités, Charlie Palmer at Aureole, and ultimately was named sous-chef for Jean-George Vongerichten at restaurant Jean-Georges.

More recently, Jonathan has applied his skills to several New York City restaurant projects, working with four-star restaurateur Bob Giraldi to launch fine dining establishments such as Diablo Royale, European Union and many others.
