A Dinner Inspired by the Girl with a Pearl Earring: The Dutch Table
Experience another dimension of Vermeer's "Dutch Mona Lisa" through the flavors of its cuisine. This cooking class includes museum admission to the "Girl with a Pearl Earring: Dutch Paintings from the Mauritshuis" exhibition. Dutch cuisine is exciting, flavorful and full of history. The flavors are simple and straightforward, featuring rustic food with fresh vegetables, potatoes and farm raised meats. This traditional cuisine is influenced by the abundance of farmers and fishermen. Other culinary influences are traced to Indonesian and Turkish immigrants.
