One-Day Holiday Basics
In just one day, learn everything you need to know about baking and cooking to pull off the perfect holiday season. Create warm holiday cheer with fresh-baked goods and homemade candy for your neighbors and friends. Then prepare a special dinner for your loved ones with all the joy attendant to the holiday season. There’s something for everyone in this holiday master class designed for both the novice cook and seasoned home chef alike.
SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES Handling and preparing poultry safely; cooking and flavoring green vegetables; baking a quick bread; making a spice sachet for infusing beverages; making custard; using a blow torch to caramelize sugar.
Adult classes are designed for students 16 years of age or older. (Note: Students must be 21 years of age to consume alcohol.)
