ASSISTANT FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER - Greenwood, MS

Essential Job Duties:

• Work regularly scheduled shifts rotating Manager on Duty (MOD) responsibilities with management team
• Supervises all FOH staff including wait staff, bartenders, hosts and floaters rotating this responsibility as shifts dictate
• Complete nightly closing paperwork, reconcile cash drawer, turn in hotel and house charges, and make deposits at the bank rotating these responsibilities as shifts dictate
• Scrutinize all aspects of guest dining experience and intervene to correct service issues
• Assists in overseeing facility issues, maintenance, furniture and fixtures for Giardina's
• Assists with monthly inventories
• Assists in maintaining inventory records
• Arbitrate guest charge disputes during Manager on Duty shifts, reporting all incidents to the Giardina’s General Manager
• Responsible for daily line up of FOH employees, when serving as Manager on Duty
• Assists in hiring of new staff and working with Human Resources to complete required paperwork
• Oversees new employee training, reporting progress to General Manager
• Assists with reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Foster and promote a cooperative working environment with all staff and departments
• Assist with special projects as assigned by General Manager
• Maintains complete knowledge and complies with all Alluvian policies and procedures.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

• Experience in hospitality management
• Hospitality Management degree preferred
• Strong knowledge of food and wine/beverage
• Strong knowledge of fine dining service
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of all regulatory requirements impacting food service operations
• Leadership and customer service skills
• Understanding of basic business principles (AR, AP, payroll, scheduling, etc.)
• Pleasant and outgoing personality
• Good grooming and presentation
• Strong computer skills
