Refrigeration Appliance Questions

Have questions about a Viking product? See our Frequently Asked Questions below for the answer you need. Still can’t find the answer? Viking has a toll-free number, 1-888-VIKING1 (1-888-845-4641), which consumers may call to speak with a representative on specific product or service questions.

Built-In Bottom Mount - VCBB/FDBB

What is the Viking Adjustable Cold Zone™ Drawer?  The temperature in the Adjustable Cold Zone™ Drawer is 3-5 degrees colder than in the rest of the refrigerator, keeping food fresh longer than at normal temperature.

Do Viking Built-In Refrigerators have one or two compressors?  One.  Viking refrigerators are powered by Viking ProChill™ Temperature Management System.  This includes and advanced DC Overdrive™ Compressor, multi-fan air distribution and electronic temperature control.  This system provides an initial quick chill down, and then converts to a lower motor speed that maintains temperature while saving energy and reducing operating noise.  The single compressor system provides uniform temperatures that are maintained within one degree with no large temperature swings to degrade stored foods.

Do Viking Built-In Refrigerators install flush?  Yes. Both Viking and Custom Panel refrigerators install flush into standard 24”D. cabinet openings.  Custom Panel models blend seamlessly into surrounding cabinetry.

What door stop adjustments are available on Built-In Refrigerators?  90, 110, and 120 degree door stop settings are standard.

Can Built-In Refrigerators be “Freestanding”?  Yes.  Side panel and top kits are available to transform a built-in refrigerator into a “freestanding” unit.  The refrigerator will still need to be secured to the wall either through the same methods as a built-in, or by using the anti-tip device included with the top kits.  Freestanding models are also available.

Side-by-Side - VCSB/FDSB
