Classic Cakes

The enticing aroma of cake freshly baked from scratch is like no other. In our highly requested workshop, learn to make and bake cakes just like Grandma - dense, moist pound cake, giant creamy cupcakes, devilishly rich chocolate cake, ruby red velvet cake, and unbelievable upside-down cake. All you need to achieve cake perfection is an understanding of classical baking techniques and some fresh, high-quality ingredients. It really is a piece of cake!

SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES Learning the fundamentals of making and baking cakes; preparing different types of cakes (layer cakes; cupcakes; pound cake; sheet cake) using various methods; making frosting; cooling, slicing and assembling a layer cake; preparing perfect cupcakes.
