Viking University Masters

In a French kitchen, it begins and ends with technique. Technique (tech?nique/tek'nek) is defined as a way to carry out a particular task, having a skill or ability in a particular field. In the culinary world, to quote Chef Thomas Keller, "flawless technique is the foundation of any professional kitchen."

If you have perfected the basics of cooking, but would like to take it to the next level and become a master of technique then why not further your education by attending Viking University Masters?

The Viking University Masters is by far the most intense class series we've ever offered to date. Students spend 6 weeks with Viking Cooking School Chefs as they guide you through the next step in your culinary journey. The Viking University Masters Series builds on the fundamentals acquired in Viking University I & II.

Viking University Masters is not for the faint of heart. Buckle up because there will be note taking, homework and a final test! Each class will begin with a quick student progress review, we will go over homework, learn along the way in order to prepare you for the final class where each student partakes in a Cooking Competition. Students will be given a mystery basket full of fresh and flavorful ingredients and 2 1/2 hours to create a fabulous meal based on all the skills acquired. Viking Cooking School Chefs will review and critique your efforts. The Master of Class is awarded a prize and all students receive an 8-pc knife roll case, a Viking Professional Chefs Knife and a notebook of recipes upon completion of class.

If you're ready to move to the next level, join us today in Viking University Masters. Even Chef Charlie Trotter says after obtaining the right product, "it is technique, technique, technique!"
