Viking Partners with Ole Miss IMC Students




The Viking Hospitality Group recently partnered with an Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) class at Ole Miss to create a marketing plan for The Alluvian Hotel. Professor Scott Fiene reached out to Tim Tyler, Director of Marketing at Viking, to organize a time for his students to come and tour all of the Viking facilities to gather knowledge to complete their final project for the class.

Professor Fiene spoke on this project by saying, "you have 19 Millennials who passionately believe in The Alluvian, Viking, and Greenwood."

The final project was presented by four groups who acted as a marketing firm and pitched ideas for a plan for the hospitality group. Some of these ideas included marketing concepts such as new hotel packages, social media posts, and markup designs for additions to the website.

Beth Williams, Manager of the Viking Hospitality Group, says, "the whole experience was neat. The students would call up here with questions, and we were all involved in the whole process."
