East-West Dinner Party
by Karin CallowayThis East-West Dinner Party menu creates a harmonious blending of the culinary cultures of the Far East with ingredients and cooking methods common to the West. The menu starts with a Japanese steakhouse-style salad that’s tossed with a Creamy Ginger Dressing and topped with Tempura Shrimp.
Grilled or roasted halibut is drizzled with a Thai-inspired red curry sauce and placed atop a bed of Jasmine Shrimp Fried Rice for a tasty main plate. A quick side of Sautéed Sugar Snap Peas and Asparagus adds color and crunch to the plate. And dessert is a not-too-sweet Banana-Coconut Custard.
